The Living World - Inquiry Learning

We were learning about animal habitats today . . . and further down there's a you-tube clip about animal habitats. :)

Last Thursday as part of our inquiry unit about The Living World our clever learners worked in groups and gathered information about animals from books. They used the Ipads to photograph interesting information they found and afterwards shared what they had gathered with the whole class. This stimulated some interesting conversation and we learnt even more!!! Here is one group's pictures.

Lots Going On . . .

Some photos of the crosses that were erected to remember some of those who died in World War 1; some making and creating; some pea planting, with thanks to Jo; some whole class pix; our new sandpit outside our classroom; some fabulous character portraits to inspire the use of adjectives for our narrative storywriting - you may recognise a few 'little pigs', Charlie and Mr Willy Wonka, the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk; the Big Bad Wolf, and others; and the cross country today - congratulations everyone for fabulous racing and great positive sportsmanship.  Great work, everyone . . . :)
